Key Stage 1
At St Colette’s we aim to make the quality of learning and life at school an essential part of every child’s education. The children follow the national curriculum, which includes literacy, numeracy, science, geography, history, art, music, design and technology, information communication technology, physical education and religious education. Some work may involve the linking together of a number of subjects within a single topic or theme which also develops planning, research and communication skills.
At St Colette’s we personalise the learning of each child to ensure each is working and striving to achieve their maximum potential.
Additional elements
The school also adds additional elements to the national curriculum such as personal, social and health education. Music, dance and drama are a special part of learning at
St Colette’s and now with our extensive sports field, pitches and sports hall our children have enviable access to physical education and school sport.
