Talent Studios
St Colette’s pupils will have the opportunity to extend their learning experience and achievement with our special studios that are being designed to nurture and develop specialist interests and rapidly develop areas of specialist need.
Studio 1
For pupils who are gifted and talented.
Studio 2
For pupils of average or above average ability who are underachieving. These pupils will have areas of individual need but may need support with aspects of dyslexia.
Studio 3
For pupils with a natural propensity to learn through or develop high level learning in technology.
The pupils in all studios will be based in their natural age related class group but be assigned to studios and be able to access high level learning throughout the school day in small and individual learning groups and by attending their specialist studios. The studios compliment the school curriculum through advanced study during lunch breaks, before and after school and through school holiday periods.
By running these studios, the school will be developing specialist resources and expertise that can enhance the day to day learning of all pupils at the school. At the same time, it is offering the opportunity for those pupils interested, to join a talent studio and undertake extended study in a particular subject and develop advanced skills in that area of special interest.
