ICT has become widely recognised as a core skill and an important part of the learning experience of all pupils. At St Colette’s, ICT is used to support teaching and learning across the whole school. From Foundation Stage through Key Stage 1 and 2, ICT is used by pupils to enhance their learning, to search and organise information and to develop and record their ideas. ICT is exploited to improve communication and provide children with access to information.
St Colette’s has an embedded, managed, learning environment to enable staff to track and manage each pupil’s learning. This underpins the personalised approach to planning the learning of each pupil.

Our new school premises have been equipped with broadband and the latest wireless networks to maximise the opportunities for learning through ICT and we have also built a specialist ICT studio within the school. Here, pupils with a special interest or aptitude can develop their skills and talents in the advanced use of ICT.
